Program Structure
The class schedule varies for each age and is posted in the classroom. In planning curriculum, teachers follow the guidelines from the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
In addition to the regular class activities, we also offer special programs including music and movement classes for each age level, field trips, and chapel. Chapel is conducted by our church staff to introduce the children to simple stories of Jesus and the Bible.
Two of the daily activities are morning snack and playground times. Parents are scheduled on a rotating basis to bring in morning snacks. Playground activity is scheduled daily for the children to experience free play and fresh air (weather permitting).
Soapstone Preschool Staff
CPR and First Aid training are provided for all staff members. Workshops and seminars on preschool education are also offered to all staff members.
