A mission trip is a wonderful mountain top experience and we are working hard to maximize the teams experience.
The construction project is an important but small piece of the big picture.
Our biggest goal is to connect people; within the team, the team to the friends we work, pray and play with in Guatemala and all
people that will hear stories from the our team and the Guatemala team.
We will start the experience by having a monthly team meeting with a short devotional and social time.
We will also need to do some fund raising; having everyone work is another opportunity to build our team.
- *Actual cost per person is approximately $1800, we will need to make up the difference with donations and fund raising.
- Soapstone has limited dedicated funds to assist with the cost of mission trips
- If you feel led to contribute more than the requested amount, that will reduce our fund raising burden.
- All payments are tax deductible, should be made out to Soapstone (with Guatemala on the memo line) and given
to Debbie Allen, Soapstone Missions Coordinator.
- Everyone is expected to participate equally in fund raising.
We are looking at hiking up Pacaya a volcano close to Antigua.
